The Cole / Dike Cemetery is located at Elm Valley NY (Originally called "Shoemaker's Corners" - Town of Andover, N.Y.

This cemetery is burial place of 1st two white settlers in Allegany County and the 1st white death in Allegany County.  Above is headstone, Veteran Marker & D.A.R. Marker at gravesite of Nathaniel Dike, 1st settler in Allegany County who arrived in Spring of 1795. No stone remains visible for Stephen Cole who arrived shortly after Dike, believed to be a son-in-law.
