Cyclone 1920

"A cyclone blew into Allegany County on July 23, 1920, starting in Black Creek. The storm then tracked east, across the county over the Vandermark Road to George and Carrollota McAndrew, who had five small children at the time. Callers reported that windows of businesses in downtown Andover were blown out with one fatality reported. The deceased was Carl Will, son of William and Katherine Will of Elm Valley. The Grove area in Andover was destroyed."--Wellsville Daily Reporter, May 10, 2002.
